today i'm just sincerely thankful for a city that i can return to, no matter how much time i let elapse - three months to a year - it's always here for me - it will always be home. i'm thankful for friends i've had for over a decade, one-third of a lifetime - i'm thankful for libraries whose stacks never change, even if the flooring and the walls do - i'm thankful for all my homes that they welcome and envelop me - i am thankful for falling down on my feet, not splattering my drama no spillage- staining other's lives besides my own.
